Topics: GSoC Update Update on 2.2.1
GSoC Update
- All evalutations were turned in on time
- All students passed
- Two community bridge projects has started
- Additional work being done on deployment for the SPDX online tools by students who had applied but not accepted
- Kate mentioned a community bridge volunteer to help with UI related code
- Smith’s project could use some help
- Kate will introduce to Gary who will introduce to Smith
SPDX 2.2.1
- Thomas had a couple of issues
- Steve created an issue with a number of cleanup items
- Need to update the RDF OWL document and other ontology documents with the updated texts from 2.2.1
- Gary will update once everything is complete on the 2.2.1 text
- Details recorded in Issue #424 https://github.com/spdx/spdx-spec/issues/454
- Inconsistency in naming of section definitions
- Agreed to add “information section” to annotation and relationship sections both titles and definitions
- Update cardinality
- Differences from 2.2 to 2.1 is incorrect – Kate will update
- Are meta tags referenced?
- Currently in bibliography
- Need to update the RDF OWL document and other ontology documents with the updated texts from 2.2.1
- Discussion on Normative references – no change to spec
- Issue with template text being inconsistent with what was used (Alexios submitted an issue)
- Decided not to change it for 2.2.1 – we will address in 3.0
3.0 Base Update
- William presented update on Profiles and Linking
- Question on if you can add fields from profiles that are not declared?
- Additional fields would be allowed, but not required for profiles not declared
