Snippets

  • Allowing external file references for snippets
    • Snippets no longer must follow files
    • X.2 will allow external document references in the SPDX ID
  • Name - Agree to add name as an optional field
    • Gary to update model to reflect that names are not always
    • Kate to update doc for the tag
    • Gary to review the RDF and update appropriately
  • Line numbers
    • Agree to add optional start line number and end lines
    • SnippetLineRange - proposal in google doc
  • Relationship types valid for Snippet
    • Leave it open, make it an optional property
    • Derived from - can use varientOf or descendantOf
  • Kate to research byte offset starting with 1 rather than 0
    • Agree we should have consistent offset definition between RDF and Tag
    • Pointer vocabulary uses 1 as the starting offset
    • Do we go against convention or do we create our own vocabulary - Kate will follow-up
  • Line range will start with 1 always
