Legal Team Report - Jilayne/Paul

  • Working on the License/XML on Github
    • Thanks to Brad - we're making good progress
  • Working with the tech team on the format and tooling for the License/XML
  • Meetings scheduled for the Linux Leadership Summit
    • 9-11 AM on Thursday,we will have an additional session with Legal and Technical to discuss the License XML next steps (Note: This session is not documented in the Linux Leadership Summit schedule since it overlaps with some of the keynotes)

Outreach Team Report - Jack

  • The Google Summer of Code submission is nearly complete
  • The agenda for the leadership summit is worked out and posted on the SPDX website and Leadership Summit schedule
    • There is an additional 9-11 joint legal/tech discussion that is not in the Leadership Summit schedule
  • We are holding off on survey until after we the presentation of the University of Omaha Nebraska's SPDX survey results
  • Next month we plan on publishing the attribution generation pseudocode/documentation produced by the tech team

Tech Team Report - Gary

  • Completed document describing attribution generation including Pseudocode
    • psuedocode for generating notice files from SPDX documents is at:

  • Kate will be presenting with Thomas at FOSDEM this weekend, on the experiment of build SPDX generation (via FOSSology 3.1)

  • The email and the SPDX website will include the 9-11 meeting
  • We haven't confirmed a conference phone for the leadership summit yet
    • Discussed possible alternatives of VoIP (e.g. Skype) or using a cell phone with a speaker
